SOC: 43-3021 Billing and Posting Clerks
Compile, compute, and record billing, accounting, statistical, and other numerical data for billing purposes. Prepare billing invoices for services rendered or for delivery or shipment of goods.

Education: These occupations usually require a high school diploma.
OJT: Employees in these occupations need anywhere from a few months to one year of working with experienced employees. A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations.
Tasks: Post stop-payment notices to prevent payment of protested checks. Verify signatures and required information on checks. Retrieve checks returned to customers in error, adjusting customer accounts and answering inquiries about errors as necessary. Route statements for mailing or over-the-counter delivery to customers. Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation.
License: This applicant should submit a complete application, with appropriate fees, to the Alabama Real Estate Commission. Prior to completing the examination, applicant must complete a Board approved 60-clock hour pre-license course. After the applicant is issued his/her license, he/she will be required to complete a Board approved 30-clock hour post-license course within the first twelve (12) months of licensure. Every licensed real estate salesperson is required to complete Board approved course every two (2) years as part of the license renewal process. If all requirements are met, individuals are scheduled for an examination. Applicants obtain examination schedules from the testing agency. Examination Fee: $75.00 Research and Education Fee: $30.00 Active/Inactive License Renewal Fee: $185.00 Criminal Records Search Fee: $25.00 Active / Inactive License Renewal Late Fee: $325.00 (with penalty) Recovery Fund Fee: $30.00 Temporary License Fee: $150.00
